Micaela Blei, PhD

Micaela has been teaching and facilitating arts education for 20 years. She has taught storytelling, and hosted shows at conferences, high schools, and universities across the country. Micaela is a two-time Moth GrandSLAM winner, and former Director of Education at The Moth, and co-founder of The Moth’s Education Program, providing training and curriculum design for thousands of educators worldwide. She has facilitated storytelling workshops at Google, Girl Scouts USA, the Atlantic, MassMutual, Future Now Fund, Spotify, Intuit, and many others. She is an adjunct professor at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Education and has held fellowships with the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale and Skidmore’s MDOCS Storytellers’ Institute. She is a Fellow at UCLA’s Center for Scholars and Storytellers. Micaela has helped develop the Storytelling for Influence course at FB, as well as delivered the Virtual FLiP program.
